accidentally stepped on foot after bunion surgery

I still have movements up and down, side to side. That one hurt a little. Well, the good news is that I saw my surgeon today, and although Im a bit banged up and bruised, my protective boot did its job and saved me from rerupturing my achilles. Went well; had a new cast out on yesterday. (During surgery. I have been since week 4 and it seems to be going well so far. That said, definitely worth seeing your orthopedist to get a clear picture. I stepped down (in order to avoid slipping and falling) on my post-surgical foot when I still had the soft splint on. My incision/surgery site has healed fully, i have little to no scar tissue. Seems ok but dont want to compromise healing. Very disappointed since I have made so much progress and even went in for my initial PT session and was told I was doing excellent. So today I walked with my boot and elevated heels pretty much all day. All he told me was in 2-1/2 weeks he wanted to see me walking into my appointment, in my boot of course and then possibly get rid of the boot all together a couple weeks after that.
